Privacy Policy

📋 Overview

Mohri is a native task management app for macOS that is built with your privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Your tasks are yours — always.

This policy explains what data Mohri uses, where it lives, and what we do and do not do with it.

💾 Data Storage

All your task data — including tasks, descriptions, comments, attachments, history, and settings — is stored exclusively in two places:

• Locally on your Mac — in your Application Support folder, managed entirely by your device
• Your personal iCloud — if iCloud sync is enabled, data syncs to your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework

No data is ever sent to Mohri's servers — because we don't have any.

🔍 Information We Collect

We collect nothing. Mohri does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email address, and does not gather any information about you or how you use the app.

The only data that exists is the task data you create yourself, which stays entirely under your control.

☁️ iCloud Sync

If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your tasks are synced across your Apple devices using Apple's CloudKit framework. This means:

• Data is stored in your private iCloud account — not accessible to anyone else
• Transmission is encrypted using Apple's secure infrastructure
• Mohri never sees, touches, or has access to your iCloud data
• You can disable iCloud sync at any time from the app's Settings
• Apple's privacy policy governs how Apple handles iCloud data

🚫 Data We Do NOT Collect

• No analytics or usage data
• No crash reports or diagnostics sent to us
• No behavioral or activity tracking
• No advertising identifiers or tracking technologies
• No access to your contacts, location, camera, or microphone
• No account registration or email address
• No data sold or shared with third parties — ever

📎 File Attachments

Files and images attached to tasks are stored locally on your device as part of the task's data file. If iCloud sync is enabled, attachments are included in the encrypted sync to your private iCloud account.

No attachments are ever uploaded to any server outside of your own iCloud.

🔒 Data Security

• Local data is protected by macOS security and app sandboxing
• iCloud data transmission uses Apple's end-to-end encryption
• Mohri follows Apple's App Sandbox security guidelines
• No external network connections are made by the app (except to iCloud if enabled)

✅ Your Rights

You have complete ownership and control over all your data at all times:

• Delete any task, comment, or attachment directly within the app
• Disable iCloud sync to keep everything local only
• Delete the app to remove all local data from your device
• Remove iCloud data by deleting it from iCloud Drive in System Settings

🗂 Data Retention

Task data is retained on your device and iCloud for as long as you choose to keep it. When you delete a task or uninstall the app, that data is removed. Mohri holds no copies of your data anywhere.

📝 Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of Mohri after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

👶 Children's Privacy

Mohri is not directed to children under the age of 13. Since we collect no personal data whatsoever, there is no risk of inadvertent collection of children's information.
